Maybe it's time now for Nebraska to get some respect. They've got some impressive stats and rankings when it comes to health care issues that make them sound as progressive as a western or southeastern state. The rank # 1 in poor physical health days, #2 in poor mental health days and #10 in air pollution. However, they did need to work some issues since they are #46 in prevalence of binge drinking, #36 in immunization coverage and #36 in occupation fatalities. It seems that when Nebraskans have really bad luck, they don't tend to get sick but they do tend to face life-threatening situations in other ways. This is anothe state that would have much to look forward to where Senate health care reform passed since it is projected that 150,000 residents of this state would gain insurance.
