Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association (MCHA) has a health care program for Minnesota’s residents. This program was established for residents who don’t have access to affordable health care. Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association (MCHA) is not free. You will have to pay premiums of varying amounts depending on your age and deductible.
Program coverage starts one month after your first premium is paid. The premium amount is based on family size, income and the number of family members who receive coverage under the plan.
To be eligible for this program you must first be a US citizen with a social security number. You must be a resident of Minnesota for at least 6 months and not be able to get coverage from your employer. There must also be a 4 month laps in time since you last had health care coverage by a private provider.
